I would like to introduce myself to the members of this forum and express my intentions for being here.
 
My name is Scott Baxter.  I am a 25 year old recent college graduate from Rochester, NY.  I have a BA in Economics, and an AAS in Applied Science conc. in Computer Tech.
 
I recently started working at a small consulting firm as a junior consulting associate.  An aspect of my job is doing market research and competitive research.
 
The industry of Competitive Intelligence is one that I have heard of and I understand the concept.  Beyond that, I really do not know much about the mechanics of it but am EXTREMELY interested.  I understand this to be a highly analytical industry, which interests me greatly.  
 
I have a keen ability to learn new concepts and make logical progression towards solutions using existing and implied data.
 
The reason I have joined this forum is because in my experience with many hobbies or interests I have in life, forums are a wonderful place to extract knowledge from experienced and helpful professionals. I intend on learning much about this industry to help myself at my current job, and any future profession I might end up in the future.
